MGAN Synergy with IMG-ACT and the Interpret a Genome Project

The Microbial Genome Annotation Network is a partnership between academic institutions across the U.S. and the Department of Energy's Joint Genome Institute to provide undergraduates with a contemporary and inexpensive authentic research experience in microbial genome annotation and comparative analysis. The DOE-JGI provides the microbial genome sequence data and training in the use of the online gene and genome analysis toolkit called IMG-ACT.
